I'm a loser!
Just a little update. I lost 10 pounds this week!! I feel like I'm getting back to the basics of eating right and exercising. I know I can't lost that much each week and shouldn't, but it's a great new start as I continue down this "loser" road.

continuing on this extreme makeover journey..........
It has been several weeks since I have written on this blog due to being way too busy and not giving enough attention to my weight loss journey. I have been on a plateau since about April, and now I'm starting to gain back some weight but, instead of giving up, gaining it all back, and quitting the whole journey, I am doing what I have been taught and have learned to do in a challenging situation: go back to the basics and do those things that I know will give me weight loss success. I went back to my WW center today and joined for another session and I am continuing with my trainer at the Y. I am now ready to get back with it and continue to lose. I would appreciate the prayers of my family and friends as I continue to do positive things to make this journey happen. This may take years!!!

Good news! I've been a little out of pocket for the last few weeks, but I started back with my trainer today. I'm already sore, but knew that would happen!! I've also started on another 10 week session with Weight Watchers. I haven't lost significant weight in the last few weeks, but I keep remembering that this is a journey and every little step counts.

Wow! I haven't been very good about putting my losses on here. I've been really busy, but that's never a good excuse. I will do my best to catch up on here and then it will be a while before I post again due to being out of the country on a cruise vacation during spring break with the family. I have been keeping up with cardio 4-5 times a week and keeping my food journal points for at least 5 days out of 7. I have lost another 1.2 pounds since I last posted. That's now an official total of 26.8 pounds. It's been slow, but consistent. I plan to continue my cardio while we're on the cruise at their fitness center onboard the ship. I do plan to eat sensibly, but there will be lots of food so I hope I don't gain weight! Bon voyage!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!
I did it!! I hit the 25 pound mark!!! (Actually, it's 25.6, but who's counting?) My WW leader recognized me at the meeting this morning and gave me a 25 pound weight loss charm. This is very exciting!! Have a wonderful valentine's day!!

Well, I am disappointed, but I knew these weigh-ins would happen. Maybe it's a hormone issue. I gained a pound this week and for no good reason!! I didn't pig out or indulge in anything. Hmmmm. Oh well, I know that if I stay with the plan, the scale and my waistline will both go down! Next week will be better.

Just wanted to post that I have been doing well with my food choices and exercise, but I didn't get to weigh in at WW today due to an awful migraine that I had this morning that rendered me useless for several hours. This means that next week when I weigh in, it should be a good number and really show my progress. I have started asking myself daily what I heard on the Biggest Loser Show: what have I done today to make me feel good? In other words, what have I done today to move toward my goals?

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES!!!
Today was our first day back to Weight Watchers (my group meets at our church for 10 week sessions). I had lost .2 pounds over the Christmas season. Not much, but still a loss! I don't think I have ever done that before! My goal was to to not gain the 7-8 pounds that most Americans supposedly gain during the season. Usually, I do gain weight so maybe I have learned something about my eating habits. So now the goal is to continue and get back to my concentrated plan of going to the Y for my workouts and counting my points with Weight Watchers. I'm excited about continuing on............

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
The wonderful holidays are officially over now and life will pretty much go back to normal around here. Our family's season of celebrating was very special with all my children (and grandchildren) home. Now it's January and another year is here!! I have kept to my goal for this period which is to lose a little bit of weight and not gain like usual during the TG/Christmas season. My WW group starts back up on January 10, but I will continue with the exercise and counting points and trying to eat more healthfully now and not wait until WW group meetings start. I'll check back to post my weight loss on the 10th.
